Based in Chicago, but operating nationally, Todd has quietly amassed a clientele that ranges from financiers to the fashion and entertainment industry.

Todd founded his namesake firm in 1993 after working for some of Chicago’s premier interior design and architecture firms.

Completed projects include residences in select areas of Chicago and the North Shore: A ski retreat in Telluride, Colorado with an industrial edge, a residence in Naples, Florida that combines 1950’s Italian and 1940’s French pieces with custom upholstery, a full-floor residence in New York City and a minimalist French restaurant in the Chicago suburb of Western Springs.

Current projects in Chicago include a vintage Lake Shore Drive condominium, residences in the Gold Coast area and several residences in New York City.

Todd's approach is based on a respect for the individual character of each space and to create the interiors that are right for the given situation, and that serve the needs of the client.

Thus the space is analyzed considering architectural detailing, dimensions and light. The clients taste, living habits, existing possessions and interest are then evaluated, then the collective findings are blended into the finished design. Not coincidently, producing work that scores high on aesthetics.

Also, a part of the philosophy is the unswerving resolve to keep the firm small; support staff is held to a maximum of three, enabling Todd to exercise hands-on participation on each project.

Basically only one thing has changed: As Todd's knowledge of antiques and old-time splendors has expanded, the use of traditional elements has become an increasing discernable factor in his work.

The Fashion Group International presented Todd with “The Stylemakers and Rulebreakers” award recognizing his unique brand of style that finds the common denomination between beauty and comfort.

Todd's work has been published both locally and nationally.
